Scarlette slowly opened her dimmed red eyes. She looked at his face.

Ghost looked down into her eyes. Are you okay?

Zach's ears were aflame with the pain that throbbed from his arm. He stumbled to the ground and collapsed.

She started to sit up.

Ghost smiled warmly at her.

Zach was out cold for over ten minutes before he slowly opened his eyes. He looked up into a strange face. Hm, an empath. Haven't seen one of those in a while.

Youre in a safe place He said, in a weird accent, it was a little husky and the words seemed to twist deviently out of his mouth. And i knew from that... He pointed to Zach's hand, which, although it still had the cast on, was obviously healed due to the lack of any bruising or cuts.

Scarlette pushed herself onto her knees, her head was spinning. She hissed through her teeth when she moved her leg. The cut really hurt.

Scarlette stood up, and nearly fell back down again. She had to grab onto Ghost's shoulder to steady herself before she started limping towards her Range Rover.

Ghost carefully supported her as she hobbled.

Zach's eyes grew wide. What had he gotten rid of? What if he couldn't get back to the present time?

Scarlette unlocked the car and collapsed against the side of it. She opened the door and looked under the drivers seat.

Scarlette found the first aid kit and started to clean and dress the wound. When she'd done that, she lowered her blood soaked jean leg and swallowed some painkillers.
