Maria's systems slowly booted up.

The man glanced at her then put his eyes back on the road.

Maria shifted a little, her eyes opening.

Maria blinked a few times before turning to look at him.

The restraints are just for your safety while you come to grips with whats happening.

"What is happening?" Maria muttered.

Not relevant. All you need to know is that i'm getting you out. He slowed and used one hand to untie her.

Maria sat up a little more.
"I want to know who you are."

He shook his head. I can't tell you, and i'm afraid there's nothing able to change my mind.

Maria raised one eyebrow.
"Why did you knock me out?"

"You were attacking people in the dark, what was I meant to do? Stand up and ask if you were okay?"
Maria huffed.

Maria narrowed her eyes at him.
"Where are you taking me?"

You'll see soon enough. As the car drove a house in the distance could be seen clearing as smoke plowed from it's burning wreckage.

Maria looked at the house and frowned.
"Why did you save me?"

You ask a lot of questions.

As they neared the house it became clear that it was the same house she'd stayed in with Claire and her husband. Obviously, destroyed from the extended radius.

"I got knocked out and kidnapped from the people nearly killing me by someone I dont know who wont tell me anything, I'm allowed to ask questions."
Maria scowled and then sat up more when she saw the house.
"What happened there?!" She asked, pointing to it.

They extended to a 2 mile radius. Without warning this time. He sighed and slowed down a little. As they passed by the burnt figure of what seemed to be a woman lay in a heap of smoking wreckage a few metres from the door. The house was on it's last legs as the wooden frame crumpled to submission.

Maria spotted the woman and then looked away. She looked at the road.

She bit her lip.
"When?"
