Freddy yawned and looked around. He was in a desert for some reason. It was a chilly midnight with no clouds in sight above him.

Alfie watched the mundane late night television, his eyes red and his hair scruffy. He yawned. severely tired.

Janie was sat on her couch, half asleep with her music playing and a book in hand.

Zanie kept in the shadows, waiting for someone she thought might not turn up.

Dana got out of her car. The text had been a weird one, but she had decided to risk it.

Freddy looked at his watch. It was 11pm. His immediate danger was the desert sun. The harshest death a vampire could ever experience.

Zanie waited, narrowing her eyes a little.

Freddy head towards what looked like a dust path in the distance.

Dana past the last streetlamp, its bulb barely lighting a few more metres in front of her as she head into the poorer side of town. She made sure her gun was within seconds of reach.

Alfie yawned again and flicked through channels.

Zanie spotted her with her vamperic vision and jumped down onto the street from her hiding place.

Dana looked at her defiantly. What do you want?

Freddy followed the slight path, tiring easily.

Alfie got up to a phone call. Who calls at this time? He thought to himself.

"I want to know why you're still alive," Zanie said.

Dana scowled. Was it you who contacted me or not?

Freddy, after endless treks of using enhanced speed until tiring, began to slow to a stop.

"Well, duh," Zanie said, rolling her eyes. "Answer my question."

I'm still alive because I haven't been killed, that good enough? She kept her hand gripping her enhanced pistol. Now what was the real reason for the urgent communication? Why would you risk me knowing where you are?

Freddy groaned and struggled on, he had four hours till dawn.

"Because I want to know why Lucian kept you alive," Zanie said, not even flinching at the gun. "I know you met him, when you saw those kids me and a friend of mine attacked."

Let's just say I put 'Lucian' in a tricky situation. She smirked.

"Oh, he'll find a way around it," Zanie said. "You don't know him as well as me."

I know that if I use my best weapons any vampire'll bow down. Oh and on the subject... how's Freddy? She smirked.

Zanie snarled at her a little. "What did you do with him?" she asked.

"Where to?" Zanie said, scowling.

Someplace sunny She smirked.

Zanie snarled at him. "Bring him back," she said.

Or what? You have no leverage at all, I'm just doing my job She smirked and cocked the pistol before taking a step back.
