Mark approached a moment later Whats going on here? He boomed but silenced when he saw the body.

Maria looked at him and sighed a little.

Back to your stations everyone. Now. He said, looking at them all. Julie call the body disposal team and file a report. He said to one of the secretaries.

Maria bit her lip and headed off with the rest of them.

Mark headed towards Maria's desk.

Maria typed something into the computer and then clicked the mouse.

Maria, I was wondering if you saw or heard anything to suggest why someone in this office could want to- He was cut off by the blinding and deafening explosion barely 20 metres away.

Maria cursed when the explosion went off. She fell off her chair and then quickly got to her feet.

Mark was pushed back by the force and slowly got up from the ground. Gaping at the large fiery hole that the explosion had caused.

Maria looked at it and then at Mark.
"I think someone is trying to take down this place," she said in a matter-of-factly tone.

Come on weve gotta get outta here!! He headed through the heavy building smoke towards the exit stairs.

Maria followed him quickly, looking around as she went.

As they reached the stairs a second explosion went off where they had been standing. Mark looked back to see dead and injured of the building scattered around the floor in various places, before he headed onto the stairs.

"Go, quickly!" Maria yelled at him, following him down the stairs.

Mark sped down the stairs and, once on the ground floor opened the nearest door to find the majority of the building enraged with 5 foot fire. He coughed at the billowing smoke rising from it and looked for a way through the flames as his eyes started to water.

Maria stopped behind him and looked at the fire."Oh, fuck!"

He wheezed and held his arm in front of his mouth, looking for an alternate exit.

Maria looked around. She could feel the heat and started to panic.

Mark's eyes squinted through the smoke to see a brunt metal door not 10 metres away. Bare with me!! He shouted the sprinted towards it.

Maria looked at him and followed him.

He felt a bit of pain as he scathed past a few of the raging flame but, using his full momentum, charged into the door and was suddenly outside, surrounded by cool air. He gulped it in like water.

Maria passed the fire, feeling the heat nearly melting her skin. She raced out the door and slammed it shut behind her.

He rubbed his eyes and slowly got up, wincing slightly. He looked around and was horrifed by the destruction all around him. Practically every building was ablaze and smoking viciously. His eyes trailed to the sky where he saw hundreds of standard army tricopters launching missiles into buildings hidden to him by the smoke and glow of the fire.
