Phoenix sighed and turned to face him. She leaned against the window sil, the wood digging into her palms.
You know when you found me, in that ditch, it was after I'd blown up my family. I thought I'd killed them, but Theresa told me different. She told me my brother was still alive and I think that bloke was him, but I cant tell. I said a phrase I hadn't used in a while and before he attacked me and knocked you out he looked at me like he knew me. I think he's my brother.

Stephen looked at her. Yeah. I....I know. He looked at her carefully. I was the one who saved him, he was the only one I managed to save inside the house. He looked at the floor grimly, waiting for her reaction.

I had to protect you. I found you hours after the explosion, time when i was with him. He awoke and he said he saw you do it. I explained that I only managed to save him and he broke down, into sadness at first but then, just, blind rage. I could see he had lost everything and I knew he wouldn't be afraid of killing you.

Well, you're right there! So, that's why he attacked me, he wants to kill me cos of what I did to our family.
She leaned against the wall and slid down it until she was sitting on the floor with her back against the wall.

It was my fault though, she muttered, putting her head into her hands. If I hadn't of blown up my brother wouldn't want to kill me and my family would still be alive.

Phoenix stayed where she was. She felt...........weird, like after she'd blown up that first time. She set her hand on fire and stared at the flames. She could feel it sapping her remaining strength but she didn't care. She just stared at it.

(Hey, I had an idea for Ghost, why dont you make him manifest NEW abilities. Just an idea, you dont have to do it.)
