Zach saw a faint blur shoot past about 20 metres behind Zoe. He rubbed his eyes. Did he really see it?

Scarlette stepped away from the building a little bit, focusing her gun in front of her, just outta sight of the other two.

Zach looked scaredly in the direction Zoe was looking. A black-purple creature with two skin bumps where eyes should be and razor teeth jumped at them from behind them. It's sensitive sound-wave senses detecting their heartbeats.

Scarlette bit her lip, she hadn't seen one of these in a while. She stepped out completely and pointed the gun at it.

Zoe swallowed loudly and clicked her fingers, purple flames erruped from her hands.

Zach ducked and cried out.
The creature fought through the flame easily due to it's immunity to cold and heat. It mauled Zach with it's claw, sending him flying 2 metres into the air.

Zoe blasted it, it didn't do any damage but it knocked it off its feet. She ran over to Zach.

Zach slammed to the ground. The creature pounced into the air then suddenly white energy seemed to rip into it's skin. It fell to the ground and writhed in pain before dying.

( Yeah I know, I was thinking that more as the stuff inside him, but also bare in mind the gun bullet would be alot different since were like 120 years in the future lol)

Zach looked at her face, there was something strangely familiar about it. But it couldn't be anyone he knew, they were more than a century into the future.
