Zach stopped by the room once more. Zoe wasn't in there. He sighed as he glimpsed the article all the way into the room and the reality set in again.

Scarlette stopped when she saw Zach in her room and raised one eyebrow.

Zach hadn't realised she was behind him and he carefully dabbed the starts of tears with his sleeve before turning to her. Oh, just looking at some of these things on the wall. He gave her a fake smile and went to walk past her.

Scarlette rolled her eyes and stepped to the side to let him past.

"The Goverment found out about us when the found Base One, that's where you were based, along with a few others. They attacked, thinking you were terrorists or something but they found out what you were when you fought back using your powers. The Base Killed off most of their men but then they attacked with drug darts and managed to knock you all out. A Law was passed that any person who displayed abilities would be killed, because of what happened at the Base. The Goverment thought at EH's were dangerous."
Scarlette said this whilst staring at the walls.

"The Very first," she said. "That's when the War started. I shoulda been there!"
She punched the wall and sighed when her knuckles started to bleed.

Zach gulped and paused for a moment to look at her and think. I could of saved myself just by touching you but for some reason I didn't. It's not your fault.
