Four days later..

Liam woke up and stretched.

Ayre sat up in the bed and glanced at the watch on her wrist. She climbed out of bed and found something to wear. Jeans, a black t-shirt and a black leather jacket.

Liam poured some rations orange juice and sat down.

Ayre stretched and shoved her gun back into place. She lifted her back pack onto her back and headed out the apartment.

Liam stretched again and gulped down some orange juice.

Ayre headed towards the center, where a good broadcast signal was.

Liam took another mouthful.

Ayre went over to the place where she broadcasted sometimes and checked the radio she'd left there. There was a continuous message being played out, but the rain had knackered it.

Liam picked up some of his notes and looked over them as he drank.

Ayre tried to fix the radio but the rain had completely knackered it. She groaned and kicked it.

Liam drank the rest and kept reading.

Ayre stood up properly and sighed, looking down at the wrecked radio.
"Damn it!"

Liam finished the page and pulled out a different report.

Ayre turned back the way she came, and stopped dead when she heard a growl that rang throughout the city.

Liam heard it even from that far away. He froze thinking it was near then, after a few moments, looked out his window intently.

Ayre began to run as whatever it was growled again. She pulled out her gun and kept it in her hand as she leaped over the fence.
