As Raven walked the dewdrop grass made muffled squeaks with the rubber of his shoes. Behind him, the grass enveloped by his shadow withered and wilted. It was almost midnight at base 5.

Scarlette slammed shut the boot. She hadn't taken off any of her guns.
"Let's go then."

Zach held Ghost's arm and waited for her.

Zoe put her hand on Zach's shoulder and Scarlette put her hand on his other shoulder. She told him where to go.

Zach focused.

Raven slipped into the shadow of the building with his ability and headed along.

Scarlette waited.

Zach teleported 100 metres from the tall building.

Raven dragged the main door guards into the suffocating shadow.

Jeff watched the cameras. His eyes widened. He quickly hit the emergency signal button.

As Zach landed he heard the siren blaring out.

Scarlette looked at the building when she heard the siren.
"Oh, shit! Zach, take Zoe back to the house and wait there. I'll call when we're done. Ghost, with me!"
She looked at Zach and Zoe.

Zoe gripped Zach's hand.

Zach sighed and teleported back.

Ghost ran with Phoenix as fast as he could.

Scarlette headed towards the buidling.
"Whatever we do we've gotta stop him before he reaches Base Six," she told Ghost.

Oh god. He gulped. We've gotta stop him come on. He grabbed her and flew full speed to the building instead.

The lights in the building flashed and spluttered out.

Scarlette saw the lights go out and swallowed.
"He's inside!"

Ghost landed and slid along the ground with her, the momentum leaving them just outside the door. Ghost turned to her I'll phase to the top, you take the bottom we'll work towards the middle.

Scarlette nodded.
"Be careful."

Ghost phased and floated to into the building.

Scarlette ran through the front doors, ready.

Raven's shadow claws beared over the man.
The man shivered. Damn heating, it's freezing
Raven crashed down, swallowing the man into the darkness.

Ghost reached the top and crept around in invisibility.

Scarlette looked around, the place was empty. Either they'd all died or they'd gotten out. Scarlette hoped for option two. She ran from room to room, being as quiet as she could.

Ghost entered what seemed to be a panic room. Five people were shaking with fear inside.

Scarlette ran for the stairs, wanting to get to the next level when she tripped. She landed on an upturned chair and yelled out in pain as her arm slammed into the wall and she landed on her back. The chair had also made quiet a lot of noise when she'd tripped over it.

Raven soared through the shadows and looked across to her from the dark wall.

Scarlette got painfully to her feet, clutching her bad arm. What a time for her regen to cut off. She kicked the chair aside.

Raven watched in smirking silence.

Ghost turned visible and they all recoiled, two of them screaming. It's okay, it's okay. What happened here?
