They both nodded and Mark disappeared round the back.

Maria took a deep breath when she reached the front door and knocked on, the shotgun behind her back, hidden.

Mark waited with the knock and heard no answer.

Maria knocked again.

Cyrus looked at her. There's no answer. Go! He whispered.

Maria stood back and threw her foot at the door. It burst open. At the same time she shouted out the signal before running in, shotgun aloft.

Cyrus entered the house and frowned.

Mark slammed the back door open and ran inside.

Cyrus looked at the completely empty large tiled room. The only other thing there were two shotguns mounted to the wall and aimed at the back door. As well as the wires that connected the triggers to the door.

"Mark!" Maria shouted.

Mark charged in gun raised.

Cyrus' eyes widened and he slammed himself and Maria to the ground just as the shotguns went off.

As the bullets hit his body the force caused him to fire his own gun, the bullets firing and whizzing into the air space where they had just been.

Maria landed heavily and groaned. She flinched when the shotguns went off.

Cyrus groaned and got up. He looked the other way to Mark's body.

"Mark!" Maria shouted, getting to her feet and running over to him.

The head and shoulders (or lack thereof) made it clear he was obviously dead.

Maria stopped near him and looked away. If she could be sick, she would have been throwning up right now.

Cyrus stayed facing the other way. He's not here. Though he probably was at one point. We need to get outta here.

Maria nodded and walked out the house.

He headed to the car shaking his car.

She followed him, gripping her gun.

Cyrus got into the passenger seat.

Maria climbed into the drivers seat and breathed out heavily.

Cyrus looked at the house.

Maria scowled and started the engine before shooting forwards.

Cyrus buckled in and sighed.

[Yeah.] Maria pulled up outside the house they had left earlier and climbed out the car.

Cyrus got out and headed inside.
