Stephen kept her held down. He moved up and put his knees in a non-hurting but restraining position on her arms. He then used his now free hands poke her cheeks, laughing.

Stephen got up and swung her around, acting as if he was going to try and pin her again. He instead kissed her softly and smiled before walking back to his room.

Phoenix laid on the bed, she watched him go and rolled over, climbing under the covers. She rested her head on the pillow and looked at the time. 02:11. She closed her eyes.
