Chloe pulled on the rope harder, but it was slipping through her hands, giving her friction burns. She wrapped the rope around her hand, Jack followed and pulled harder. It started to come.

Gerald's blurred vision faded slightly and he started to actually realise what was happening. He shook his head slowly trying not to focus on the buckets o rain drenching him all over.

Chloe ignored the pain in her hands and yanked the rope backwards, walking with it. Jack grunted and pulled back with his hands, ignoring the pain as the rope tightened around his hands.

Gerald shook off some more of the daze noticing the rope being very slowly and steadily lifted. The rope a few metres above him started to break slightly from the strain.

Chloe saw the rope start to break and threw herself forward, so she was half hanging out the window. She grabbed it the same way by wrapping it around her hands and pulled.

Gerald finally shook off the last of the daze and looked at the situation around him. He saw Chloe a few metres away hanging out of the apartment window. He shifted his weight, sitting him up, and kicked off the wall to help give leverage. He looked up and frowned as he saw the tattered rope bits around her fingers snap completely and made a last make or break try to stay alive by kicking off the wall to reach for the window sill not too far above.

(Its Chloe. LOL)

Chloe grabbed more of the rope and pulled, her hands screamed in protest from the friction burns and the thightness of the rope, but she ignored them.

Chloe reached forward and grabbed the rope. She slipped forward and would have fell if Jack hadn't dropped the rope and grabbed her leg. He yanked ather and at the rope.
Chloe had managed to grab the rope, but only the end of it. She pulled more of the rope and wrapped it around her wrist and lower arm, taking all Geralds weight.

Gerald clasped at the edge of the building before glancing up and seeing her about to fall from taking his weight. He quickly dug out his pocket knife and split the rope off so that she was holding on all by himself metres below the apartment window. He looked up at her sadly.

Gerald looked up at her again and pushed with all his might up towards the window sill. He grasped out his fingers and landed with his fingers and half his palms clawing at the edge of it. He felt his grip loosen due to the rain and realised what was about to happen.

Chloe grabbed his arm and pulled. Jack pulled her up.

Gerald felt her warm hand grab his wrist. He kicked at the space blow him trying to heave himself up and not sure if they could hold his weight.

Chloe's feet touched ground, she pulled at Gerald's arm while Jack reached down and grabbed his other arm. They both pulled.

Gerald gripped onto the edges of the windowsill and heaved. He bundled in, a pool of water rapidly forming around his drenched body. He sighed heavily, and sat up a bit more, before realising that blood was running a little still from his head where he hit it. It flowed in a line from his hairline to his nose.

Chloe ignored the pain in her hands and passed Gerald some paper towels.
You ok?

Yeah He sighed. Dabbing the blood with them. He reached to his bag and popped two painkillers from their packaging, downing them both, and offering the packet to chloe and jack.

Chloe hid her hands behind her back and shook her head.
I'm fine.
Jack shook his head.

Gerlad stuffed it back inside and took off the bag he was wearing outside his coat. He removed his shoes and socks and got up. I'm going to change, okay?

Okay. I'm gonna.....
She mumbled something and walked off into her room, wincing at the pain of her hands. She slammed the door. Jack sighed.

Gerald walked into his room and got changed. He left the wet clothes over the dry basin. He walked out of his room and over to his bag in the dining room, collecting a small aid pack and dressing his head wound in the mirror.
