Okay, just tell me whenever. He looked at the ground and held there for a moment. He snapped out of it and continued It's still a bit early, are you going back to bed or stayin in here for a while or?.. He stared eagerly.

Cool, well i've got a load of equipment you can use, do you want some company or are you happy alone? He looked towards her again for the third time.

Gerald hid his disappointment. Oh..Okay, I...er.. Yeah here i'll show you them. He walked to the lounge and opened the second drawer down of his storage cupboard, picking out two pretty fancy walkie-talkies. He shut the drawer afterwards and turned to Chloe.

Gerald watched her leave, sat down on the old sofa in the next room and sighed.

(Oh, it just looked so stupid in my head.)

Jack yawned and sat up. He got out og bed, has a quick wash and threw some clothes on. He walked into the living room while pulling on his trainers.
Where's Chloe?

Gerald jumped slightly Oh... er. she just went up to the roof. Do you want some breakfast? He looked towards Jack closely.

Nah, I'll have some later.
Jack stood near the doorway, one foot against the wall, his arms folded.

Gerald sighed and closed his eyes. He cleared his mind and started thinking about past memories.

Chloe came down at midday. Jack swapped places with her on watch. She stretched and sat on the sofa next to Gerald.
Hi, she said.

Gerald broke out of his cleared mind when she spoke. He listened and wondered why she followed her greeting by saying she said. Never mind he thought You want something to eat? You didn't come back down to get breakfast this morning.

Well they're all army rations so they're all high in vitamins and minerals. But basically I've got a beef stew, a chicken and rice, a beans and egg and a spicy pasta. He looked at her and waited for an answer.

Yeah sure i''ll make t now. I do have some others but I kinda regulate which ones I bring out based on what theyre made date is. He walked towards the kitchen and turned on the minature stove, letting it heat up first.

Chloe rushed forward to stop him.

Gerald lost his balance and his hand flew onto the flame for a second or two before he yanked it out in agony. Arghh! SHIT!! He clung to his hand tightly.

Chloe grabbed hold of his hand, just above the wrist and shoved the burn under the cold tap. She went back to her room and got a bandage and a pad to put over it when it was finished with the water.

Gerald had had much worse but gritted his teeth and decided to milk it for all it was worth. Rggaahh I guess we... are even then huh? He clutched his hand tighter cringing at the pain.

Chloe grinned.
Yep, guess we are. Keep it under that water! Do you have any paper towels?

Half-smiled back through his clenched jaw. What for? He looked towards her taking focus off his hand.

Chloe looked in some cupbaords.
