Gerald poured himself some water, thinking. He looked at his scruffy reflection in the glass sadly.

Chloe sighed and bit her lip as she thought.
"Do I like him?" she asked herself. "Sure, he's cute, but do I like him?"

Gerald walked towards the newly fixed shower after grabbing a towel from a pile he'd scavenged from a few weeks ago.

Gerald enjoyed the feeling of a shower after so long. He came out refreshed and clean about ten minutes later and, after drying himself, he stepped out into the living room and headed to his room with his towel wrapped around his waist.

Gerald changed into some new clothes. The shower had relaxed him slightly and he walked back into the living room.
