Damon caught the bag and stood up.

He left, slamming the door after himself.

Chloe came out the room and leaned against the doorframe.

Gerald picked up his pistol and fired a round off out the open window . He didn't care where the bullets went he just wanted to release some anger.

Gerald!
Chloe took the gun off him and sat him down.
I need to sort out your stitches. Stay there! she told him firmly.
She went into the kitchen to get the first aid box.

He went to lay down on the couch.

Chloe came back with a mug of boiling water and the First Aid Box. She kneeled down next to him and set the box and mug down. She pulled out the needle she used to put the stitches in and dropped it in the hot water. She put on gloves and peeled back the bandages.

Oh God. He rolled his eyes, glad he had taken the painkillers.

Dont move.
Chloe cut out what was left of the old stitches and pulled the needle from the cup. She sorted out the thread and potitioned her hands above his stomach.
This is gonna hurt.

Chloe bit her lip as she sorted out the new stitches. She tied a knot in the end, cleaning up the blood and put a new dressing over the top. She disposed of the old dressings and the gloves she'd used.
You okay?

Yeah.... He winced.

Chloe put the First Aid box away and leaned against the door frame.
Take it easy, she told him.

He smiled at her and lay back.

Chloe smiled at him and glanced quickly out the window.

Gerald drifted off to sleep.

Chloe watched him for a bit then disappeared into the kitchen to get herself something to eat.

Gerald dreamed of past experiences.

Chloe made herself a sandwich and sat on the counter while she ate it.

Gerald awoke many hours later. He looked around for Chloe.

Chloe was in the shower when he awoke.

Gerald got up and turned on the kitchen tap to get some water.

The shower stopped. Chloe got out, wrapped a towel around herself and poked her head out the door.

Gerald gulped down the water. Oh. Sorry. Really, he was just glad his plan with Damon had worked. He never had liked that guy.

Chloe grinned.
Its okay.
She climbed back into the shower.

Gerald walked into their bedroom.

Chloe finished her shower and wrapped her towel around herself again. She exited the bathroom and went into their bedroom.
