Gerald smiled then moved to the couch and sat down.

Chloe stayed sat on the side, staring at the walls.

Gerald reached to his backpack and took out a small circuit square with wires tangled and hanging everywhere. He took the small pick at the side and began fiddling with it.

Chloe pulled one of her legs up onto the counter and rested her cheek on her knee.

Quietly, Olivia left her room and went to get some breakfast.

Hey. He said, glancing up. Feels good to have a shower since so long huh?

Olivia smiled, her mouth full of cereal, too full to tell him she'd had a shower yesterday and found his comment quite insulting.

Chloe walked into the living room and yawned.

Olivia swallowed her food.

"Morning lovebirds."

Chloe blushed.

Gerald smiled. And proud He said, kissing Chloe on the cheek.

Chloe blushed again and giggled.

Olivia grinned widely and ate a bit more.

"What are your plans for the future?"

Plans? What plans? He said. There's no planning in today's world. It's survive or don't. Plans just give you something to be afraid of failing at.

Chloe nodded.
Good point.

"Oh sorry." Olivia said, shutting up and glad she hadn't mentioned babies then. She smiled involuntarily, thinking how he sounded like her granddad.

Chloe grinned.

Gerald went back to fiddling with the odd device.

Chloe went into their room and started to tidy up a bit.

Gerald patched up a few wires and added a screw to the left side to keep them in place.
