2046 Role Play.

Steven stared at the robot and decided to try and head out behind her and get to the door. He crept off the stairs and slowly forward.

Maria nodded.
Okay, I'll tell them! she told the person on the phone, scribbling down a memo on the pad. She put down the phone and turned around. She saw Steven and screamed.

Steven didn't know what to do. He could run out the door but the bot had already seen his identity and most likely had a photographic memory which would be backed up and near impossible to erase. He jumped to her and grabbed her wrist firmly, but not hard enough to hurt the synthetic nerves in her arm.

Maria pulled back trying to make him let go. She tried to push him. She'd stopped screaming.

What do you want?
Maria stopped struggled, but she didn't trust him.

What information? What have you downloaded or taken?
Maria was getting angry. No-one came into her owners house and stole from them, no-one.

I guess since you only have the basic 5.2 emotions, so you won't understand. This is the only thing that will help me find something...and I need to find it. Desperately. He looked at her. I'm not a some rogue robot. If I was don't you think I could of destroyed your hard drive or malfunctioned your memory. But no. I'm asking, from one robot to another, please..

Maria swallowed, even thought she didn't need to.
I could..........try. I'm not saying that it might never come out but I can try.

Thank you. He could tell he had convinced her. Thank you! He touched her hand to his bio-metal lips as he had seen in old films and ran to the door.

Maria stared after him. She shook her head.
Why did I say that?! she asked herself.

Steven ran out the door and saw an oncoming hover car. He walked normally until it was passing by and jumped and snagged a hand under the edge. Avoiding the under-car engines he slipped up so he was hanging onto the underside of it completely and let it glide him away.

Maria closed the door just as the phone rang. She picked it up and smiled.
Hello? she said sweetly down the phone.
Hi, Maria, said the voice of Jodie Summers, Maria's owner. Erm, we've decided to stay a little longer. We've booked a hotel, so we wont be coming back. Just....hang about, you know, chill out.
Okay, said Maria. Will do, Jodie.
Bye, Maria.
Bye, Jodie.
Maria put the phone down.

Mark opened the door to his office and looked around. Even for his standards it was messy. He might have to hire a maid robot for a few weeks with the extra money he'd recieved from his previous case.

Maria went into the kitchen and put away the rest of the shopping she'd brought. She cleaned down the sides and stood next to the fridge, wondering what to do.

Steven waited until the car stopped at a gas station. He crawled out from underneath and walked towards the desert area on the other side of the road. The sun shone down like a torch in an interrogation.

Maria went into the living room and picked up the TV remote. She turned on the TV, sat down on the couch and watched the TV.

Mark hung up his coat on the hook by the door then sidestepped and jumped around the wasteland that was his messy floor towards his desk.
