Chloe steadied herself against the wall and took in deep breaths.

Mark coughed and slowly left his hiding place, clutching his stomach.

Reena followed after him and looked at Gerald. Then to a man, around 20 who got out after her. We hid from some attackers but most of us weren't so lucky. She said sadly.

Chloe blinked and looked around, clutching her stomach.

Reena nodded and sat her father in the sofa before her and the 20 year old went into the kitchen.

A distant animal cry sounded far away. Gerald gulped. They were coming.

Chloe looked up from the floor when she heard the animal and looked back at the door.

The blood. He swallowed. We've gotta get out of here. He shouted. Grab what you can we're heading out, now!

Chloe gripped her gun and ran back into the building, slamming the door shut after her.

Chloe put some of this stuff in your rucksack Gerald said, as he pointed to the pile of goods he was already loading into his.

Chloe nodded and headed over to him, pulling her backpack off her back. She packed some stuff into it, ignoring the weird feelings in her stomach.

Mark got up and grabbed a rucksack before helping.

Reena and the other man brought in the last of the goods.

Get any weapons you have in this place and hand them out between you. Gerald said to the two as he focused on packing.

Chloe packed up more stuff and pulled to magerzines from her bag before sticking them into her pockets.

Reena came back with three pistols and some ammo and gave them out between the unarmed.

Chloe shoved the last of the stuff in her pack and zipped it up before slipping it back onto her back.

Gerald put his on his back Right. Let's go! Quickly!

Mark nodded and lifted his onto his back.

Gerald opened the door as another distant cry went up. Mark, Reena and the man left the building hurriedly.

Chloe followed them out quickly, shutting the door before running to catch up to Gerald.

Gerald opened the fence exit and went out very quickly, followed by the three house tennants.

Chloe slipped out and drew out her gun. It felt heavy in her hand. She gripped it and looked around.

He closed the fence opening then jogged as fast as her could with the weight back the way theyd come.

Chloe jogged after him, the backpack thumping painfully on her back.

He pelted down the street, hearing low murmurs of group moment still quite far away.

Mark, Reena and the third man managed to keep up with his pace, not speaking.

Chloe kept looking around as she ran, causing her to stumble once or twice. She caught herself and kept going.

Gerald stopped. He pointed to Mark. Take off the backpack.

Mark did as he was told and lay it on the floor.

Gerald pulled his combat knife and slit some skin on his arm before opening the backpakc and pulling a random food item from it. He smeared it in the blood coming from the cut and shoved it back inside the back pack. He sealed the wound with a medipatch. We've got enough food, this one'll just slow us down. Plus now it oughta hold em off. Let's go.

Chloe glanced at the food and nodded before settling off running again.

The three from the house followed Gerald as he ran towards the motorway.

Chloe brought up the rear, checking behind her.
